A Year Too Long…

November 3, 2020

Hey guys. I have to start by apologizing for not posting any devotionals or podcasts recently. I think its been almost a year if not longer. The devil has tried to make me feel intimidated and defeated when it comes to sharing Jesus with you but today I am making a stand to say no more!

You can imagine how it is hard to share your life on social media as an influencer. But can you imagine trying to share Jesus in a world as broken as ours? No one wants to hear the truth. Should this be an excuse? NO! Absolutely not!

I had bought a new devotional book a while ago and shared it on Instagram with you all but life got busy and here we are still waiting for me to even open the book. Sometimes the devil tries to whisper to me “you’re not good enough to share His word” or “you’re so full of sin why would anyone listen to you anyway”. There are countless excuses as to why I felt unworthy of sharing His word. But isn’t that what is amazing about our God? He calls the broken to show the courage. He rarely calls the one who has had it easy but instead the person who has seen struggle their entire life because it is through the pain and suffering that He can be glorified most.

Thats really all that I’m trying to say is that I am picking up where I left off a year ago. I want to share with you why I haven’t had the courage to even open my Bible or much less lead a devotional for you. I think you will be able to relate to me, at least I hope so, that life gets busy and we get selfish and the devil starts to get in our head a little too much and we find ourselves so far from where we want to be that we feel lost and anxious all the time. But friend I’m here to tell you that the nudge inside of you to get back on the path to Jesus is the biggest blessing you could ever receive from the Holy Spirit! God will never forsake you. He will never leave you. You will have a choice of taking the easy road or His road. The road to Jesus is less traveled for sure but it is so sweet my friend. It is beyond anything you could ever imagine for yourself. Its better than any relationship you have ever had and the only one that can truly save you from yourself and this world we live in.

Will you join me in prayer? Today is election day and I’m writing this on my lunch break because if not now then when? I pray for our country, for you and for me, and for each leader that is a part of our government. I pray for each candidate that they would shy away from the devil and his schemes and come to know Jesus truly and fully and may they lead our country in a way that is wholesome and just. May we find peace in knowing that regardless the outcome of who wins tonight (or next week) that we can be confident in knowing Jesus is on the throne. We know who is in control. Amen!

Thank you for being here and for reading this far. It means the world that you let me into your life and I promise to fill you in soon! Until then can we join together in daily prayer? Find me on Instagram and let me pray for you! Send me your prayer requests in a DM and I will pray for you!

Lots of love y’all! -A
