Brian and I took a vacation to California (well his home/my vacation) and were originally going to see Lake Tahoe, but I got terribly sick because of altitude and had to head back to his home in Sacramento! I was so upset that we did not get to do our hot air balloon ride or see Lake Tahoe! Besides that we had an AMAZING time! We spent our days driving from town to town seeing all sorts of amazing beaches and shops and restaurants! I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

Another one of my FAVORITE lookout spots along the Pacific Coast Highway to Big Sur! No filter needed!
We finally got to Big Sur and had an amazing lunch at NEPENTHE! The view here is OUTSTANDING! If you are planning a vacation to Big Sur this restaurant is a MUST! I had the special, Turkey Bacon and Avocado Sandwich on Sourdough (swoon), paired with a side salad with THE MOST AMAZING blue cheese I have ever had! Brian had a manly sandwich of some sort that involved a runny juice that grossed me out. Nepenthe is a must. It is so relaxed and delicious and fresh and I could go on and on but take my advice and just GO!

After lunch we headed to this amazing waterfall in Big Sur. It was amazing, photos do it no justice! You have to hike to get there but it is worth it! This was the most crowded lookout we had been to! There was not a lot of water flowing because of the drought but it was still amazing to see! The water was so beautiful!
And of course last but not least, I made Brian take me to my favorite place! I skipped the strawberry shake and animal fries but this burger was DELICIOUS! If you have been under a rock your entire life and do not know in-n-out and are on the west coast, just go ahead and do yourself a favor and go … now!
