Hey guys!! I hope you enjoyed learning chapter one of Ruth!! I love this book of the Bible!! This week we are going to read through chapter two and Ruth meets Boaz!! I love their love story and there are many books on Ruth and her story with Boaz I will try to link a few below if you want to read them!!

RUTH CHAPTER 2 EVENTS 

• Ruth meets Boaz
• Boaz was a relative of Elimelech Naomis husband
• Ruth asked to go into the fields to gather grain and the field belonged to Boaz
• Boaz noticed Ruth and asked who she belonged to
• Boaz went to Ruth and told her to remain in his field with his servants and to not go to another field to get grain and to drink from the jars of his men.
• Ruth was taken back by his grace and asked why he favored her.
• Boaz said to her he has been told what she has done for mother in law and how she claimed the Lord. He acnkowelfed her courage and hard work and loyalty.
• Boaz gave her a meal and told his men to let her work without humiliation.
• Ruth gathered grain until evening and went back to Naomi and gave her the rest of the meal she did not finish.
• Naomi asked whos field she gathered grain in that day and Ruth told her Boaz.
• Naomi began to praise God.

Chapter two sets the foundation of Boaz and Ruths relationship. If you are in a season of dating you need to make sure you are paying attention to the characteristics of the man you are dating. Is he praying? Does he desire God? Is he a provider? Not necessarily monetarily, but make sure he is willing to provide support and encouragement towards your dreams and goals. These are all characteristic you should want in a partner.

WHAT DOES CHAPTER 2 TEACH US? 

• Bring prayer into your daily life so that he who witnesses will be blessed by your actions.
• God will bless those who take refuge in Him without boundaries.
• Communities must provide for the less fortunate.
• The unfortunate must provide for their families.
• The story of Ruth displays Gods love and how it has no boundaries.
• Our suffering is for our own good and personal growth.
